My thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since this terrible tragedy. As the mother of nine children, I can't imagine giving up one of them. I remember Justine and Lauren coming with their Grandma Marvel (my sister)to visit me with at Lake Elmo Park Reserve where we camped for the summer months. I'm happy for those fond memories.
I love you Steve, Heidi and Lauren.

I have never met Justine but have listened to her mother speak of the love she has for her daughter. I hope and pray for closure for the sake of the family.
Heidi, I share in your sorrow.

Happy Birthday, Justine

Happy Birthday, Beane!

May God watch over you.

May His grace flow abundantly so…

Sunshine envelopes too.

May your every word be peaceful; May your every thought be true.

May God’s love so surround you,

Your deepest desires are satisfied anew.

Happy Birthday, Justine.

We want to send our love.

We want to say we miss you.

We ask for Jesus to wrap you in His arms above.

Know how much we thank Him

For putting you in our way.

Know how much we ask Him

To refresh our hearts this day.

Our love to all your family,

Our gratitude and thanks

For sharing you with all of us.

May God’s love refill our tanks.

Happy Birthday!

I wish that I had been able to meet you, Justine. It is not fair that such a precious person was taken from this world. I feel very close to your mother and I hope I can help comfort her in some small way during this very difficult time.
I love you, Heidi!!

I never had the opportunity to meet Justine, but having met her mom recently tells me that I would have loved her. It is a tragic thing to lose such a committed educator and nurturer of young children. However, I believe that she served her students from a place of generocity and love, so I can be sure she will never ever be forgotton. Her gifts and light will always be somewhere, making a difference in our world

Dear Heidi, Steve and Lauren,
We were next door neighbors and great friends for many years. We think of all of you frequently and hope that you will find answers to what happened to Justine the night of her death.I have been thinking alot about Justine's up coming birthday and can remember her 1st Birthday party so vividly. So many family and friends to celebrate that special occasion, and our Jenny was 2 weeks old. She was so loved by so many then and through out her adult life. We cherish all the good times and memories of our girls and yours growing up together. You were such good parents and Lauren you were such a great sister. Be thankfull for all the time , although it seems too short, you had with Justine and know that she touched many lives and will not be forgotten.
Happy Birthday Justine.
Love,
Kim and Linda

I was just flipping through the latest edition of the Hollins Columns and was astonished and sad to learn of Justine's passing. I have many fond memories from freshman year with she and Holly. We had lost touch after she transfered. I am very sorry to hear of her death.

Happy birthday my little girl angel. Oh how you are missed on the kindergarten hall.Your room is just the way you left it. The new teacher will arrive on the 12th and I think you would truly approve of her, but of course you already know about her. I miss our chats and your sweet, sweet ways and being able to see you every day. I know that someday we will meet again in heaven. Again, Happy birthday.

Justine was my niece. She continually touched my life. I will hold in my heart all of the good times we had together through her childhood as well as her adult life.

I will always be thankful that my girls got a chance to know her. She was always so kind to them. I do know they had very warm feelings for her and also, looked up to her as she was a teacher. I will always be thankful for all of the kind and special things she did for them. There are so many times that Olivia reminds me of her as a young child-which is a blessing for me.

And I remember all of the special times she touched her grandparents, parents and sisters life. Many fun and happy times were had by all of the above.

Today, I find it extra hard to understand what has happened. I find her passing so unnecessary and virtually a loss for every single person she ever touched.

I will miss her forever and always hold her in my prayers and heart.

Happy Birthday

Love always,

Tracie
